Best career advice for a new marketing professional in the AEC industry?
Be ready to work long hours, some weekends and deal with stress. It's not always easy but very rewarding. And join SMPS! You get back so much more than you give, and I encourage everyone to get involved at the board and committee levels because "to lead is to serve" and you will be glad you did!

How are you passing time during CVOID-19?
I hang out with Cowboy, my awesome granddog, blue healer mix, going on walks, attend yoga classes (when open), and hang out with my Young Living associates. This is a very trying time that none of us has ever experienced, but know you can always call on your fabulous SMPS network, friends / family for anything you might need. It's an awesome life support system.

Favorite SMPS Houston Memory?
Working with all of the members over the years that give their time and talent in service to SMPS, and watching them grow in their positions, personally and in the industry.

I'd like to add how much SMPS has meant to me. From 1981 when first introduced to the organization and throughout my career as the premier source for education, networking, and building lifelong friendships. I'm extremely grateful for the opportunity to be a member of this awesome society. SMPS Houston continues to be a benchmark chapter. Keep up your outstanding participation and great works!
