SMPS Houston Chapter News

March 16, 2020

Dear Houston Chapter Members,

As the COVID-19 situation continues to unfold in our city, region, state, and nation and new regulations are put in place by the CDC, WHO, and local governments, SMPS Houston Board’s top priority is ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our members and speakers. With this goal in mind, SMPS Houston will be postponing all in-person events for March and April (including ‘What’s the Future of Downtown’ scheduled for March 26 and the ‘Leadership Series Special Event | Client Strategy & Retention’ scheduled for April 16).  If you have already registered for either of these events you will be receiving a refund over the next couple of weeks.

We understand the importance of continuing to ensure our members and sponsors are receiving value from their membership. Over the upcoming weeks, please be on the lookout for special online webinars, A/E/C marketing tips content, and ways to connect with SMPS Houston via our social media platforms. As we navigate these upcoming weeks, I want to encourage you to take advantage of the free online learning tools available thru SMPS.

SMPS Houston will continue to monitor new regulations regarding COVID-19 to ensure we are making informed decisions regarding our future events. The SMPS Houston Board is committed to responding timely and ethically to safety and health concerns while continuing to educate and connect leaders in the building industry.

If the Board can be of any assistance to you, your firm, or your family, or if you have ideas on content that would be beneficial to you and your firm during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out to me personally. Thank you and on behalf of the entire SMPS Houston Board, we appreciate your support of our Chapter and look forward to continuing to serve you.
