The APTIM corporate marketing team is seeking an entrepreneurial, results-oriented marketing research professional to help shape our growing enterprise. The Market Intelligence Manager will report to the Marketing Intelligence Director and will join a team of other marketing and communications professionals.  The Market Intelligence Manager will execute market research projects across multiple market segments. Market segments include oil and gas, petrochemical, industrial, commercial, government, and power generation. This position is located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.    Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities: The Marketing Intelligence Manager will collect and interpret primary and secondary research, and provide recommendations on the direction of current and future markets. The Market Research team takes on significant client-facing responsibilities and serves as a trusted advisor and thought partner to the executive leadership team.

Essential Functions:
§ Design, execute and analyze qualitative and quantitative market research about customers, competitors, industry segments, and geographies
§ Collect and interpret primary and secondary research
§ Leverage market research methods and techniques to identify key customer insights
§ Provide on-going analysis, trends and ad hoc analysis for multiple market segments
§ Prepare written reports and presentations to management to ensure clear understanding of information and marketing implications
§ Provide information / insights to support the business planning process for each of the functional areas
§ Evaluate new business opportunities
§ Actively participate in brand team, cross-functional team meetings, sales meetings and any other functions which would foster greater understanding of team challenges and goals
§ Develop and sustain close working relationships with key stakeholders
§ Manage market strategy research and planning in support of the strategic planning process
§ Create and update market summary dashboards employing relevant market data
§ Propose and manage research vendor selection and manage the contractor relationship
§ Consult with client partners regarding ongoing business concerns, identifying ways in which to research and analysis can be applied to business questions in the future
§ Communicate and present critical data, report summaries, market analysis and strategic recommendations to all levels of management

§ Ability to interface with business development and senior management

Desired/Preferred Qualifications:
§ 5+ years of relevant experience in a finance, engineering, sales, marketing intelligence or strategy role
§ Proven track record in analysis and insight § MBA or equivalent preferred
§ Technical writing experience desirable
§ Limited domestic and international travel
§ Working knowledge of Tableau and Microsoft suite of products (PowerPoint, Word and Excel etc.)
§ Role is a full-time position in Baton Rouge, Louisiana office. However remote/flexible opportunities will be considered for the right candidate.
